Kapahaka

Kapa Haka at Levin North School, we proudly collaborate with our local iwi, Muaūpoko. Our energetic sessions take place on Tuesday mornings for our Junior and Middle Teams and Thursday mornings for our Senior Team. A heartfelt thanks to Whaea Tangi and Whaea Sena for your unwavering support and love; you truly make a difference in our journey. We are thrilled to participate in the annual Kapa Haka festival alongside other Horowhenua schools, celebrating our culture and community together!

Every year, we proudly participate in the Junior Jandal Jam Festivities alongside Horowhenua Pasifika. Our dedication shines through as we practice throughout the year, honing our Pasifika knowledge and skills.

Enviroschool

We are proud to be an Enviroschool. Dedicated to sustainability. Our environmental education empowers students to positively impact their communities. Together, we can create a greener tomorrow.

Arts

For the Arts we have weekly music lessons offer students of all ages the chance to learn instruments like guitar, drums, and piano, guided by our fabulous tutor, Rawiri Weihipehana. We participate in Showquest, showcasing our talents in dance, drama, costuming, lighting, and more, under the guidance of our awesome lead teacher, Miss Hansen.

Sports play a vital role in student life! We offer diverse range of sports throughout the year, including
TERM 1: Twilight Hockey & Cricket
TERM 2: Waterpolo, Netball, Basketball, Winter Hockey & Rippa Rugby
TERM 3: Netball, Winter Hockey & Tackle Rugby
TERM 4: Waterpolo, Touch, Twilight Football & Softball
Our students also participate in interschool events like Swimming Sports and Athletics, while having fun with additional activities such as Ki-o-Rahi, Golf, and Skateboarding. With the support of our dedicated Sports Coordinator, Whaea Anna, we strive to engage our ākonga in exciting ways.
